Colossyan Features Review: Plans and Pricing

AI video Colossyan SCORM LMS training corporate training software
What Colossyan actually does
Colossyan is an AI video generator built around one job: turning a script or document into a presenter-led training video. Its homepage frames the pitch as replacing a "fragmented" production stack with one platform that keeps content "always current" as your product changes (Colossyan, checked 2026-08-30). The listed use cases back that up: sales enablement, product explainers, compliance and infosec training, internal upskilling, and onboarding/HR content (Colossyan, checked 2026-08-30).
This isn't a fit for marketing or social video — if you want AI avatars for ads or short-form clips, HeyGen and Synthesia sit closer to that use case — we compared Colossyan directly against Synthesia's avatar approach in an earlier head-to-head. This review goes deeper into what each Colossyan plan tier actually unlocks, and what its pricing page does and doesn't spell out.
Pricing at a glance — what we could and couldn't confirm
Colossyan doesn't put one flat number next to each plan the way a lot of SaaS pricing tables do. Here is what its own pricing page states, and where the trail runs out (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30):
- Starter — free, no credit card required. The page's own FAQ describes it as giving you "$27/month worth of value, including our entire 300+ avatar library with best-in-class avatars" — that's Colossyan's framing of the plan's feature value, not a fee. The plan itself costs $0.
- Professional — the pricing FAQ states "Professional is $59/month on an annual plan, giving you 30 minutes a month with NEO and 10 minutes a month with NEO2 generation," and the plan card separately lists "$30/mo per additional member" for extra editor seats beyond the first. The page also shows a "Yearly -34%" badge next to this plan, which tells us $59 is the discounted, annual-billed rate. We could not confirm what Professional costs on standalone month-to-month billing — that figure wasn't present in the text we were able to extract from the live page.
- Enterprise — no listed price anywhere on the page. The only options offered are "Let's talk" and "Contact sales."
If the exact monthly (non-annual) Professional rate or an Enterprise quote range matters to your decision, confirm it directly on Colossyan's pricing page before you commit — pricing pages change more often than review articles get updated, and we'd rather send you to the source than guess. What we can say with more confidence is what each tier actually unlocks feature by feature, which is where a lot of competing reviews stop short and this one keeps going.
Interactive videos and full courses, not just clips
What separates Colossyan from a generic avatar-video tool is "interactive videos" — a named feature on both its homepage and pricing page, alongside "complete courses" and "localized content" (Colossyan, checked 2026-08-30). The pricing page confirms it's a real, metered feature — Starter and Professional each list a monthly cap on interactive videos (10/mo and 15/mo), separate from plain MP4 exports. That matters for branching training ("if the trainee answers X, show scenario Y"), which a flat-video export tool can't do.
SCORM export: the detail that decides LMS fit
For compliance or onboarding training, the deciding factor is usually not avatar quality — it's whether the output tracks inside your LMS. Colossyan's pricing page lists SCORM export as plan-gated:
- Starter (free): SCORM export is not listed among Starter's included features (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30).
- Professional: "5 SCORM exports/mo (Streaming)" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30).
- Enterprise: "Unlimited SCORM exports — Streaming + Self-contained" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30).
Two details matter here. First, Professional's export is "Streaming" only — Enterprise adds "Self-contained" packages, which usually means Professional's packages need a live connection to Colossyan-hosted video rather than bundling the file. If your LMS is on a closed network, confirm this with Colossyan before building a compliance program around it. Second, "5 exports/mo" is a monthly cap, not a one-time allowance — publish more than five modules in a month and you'll hit the ceiling before it resets.
Avatars, voices, and language coverage
Avatar and voice access scale with plan tier: Starter includes "15 custom avatars + 3 voices", Professional "20 custom avatars + 5 voices", and Enterprise "Unlimited custom avatars + voices" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30). Separately, a comparison-table row states a stock library of "300+ Stock Avatars" and "700+ Stock Voices" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30) — the exact plan boundary of that stock library wasn't fully legible in what we could extract, so treat it as a site-wide claim rather than a confirmed per-plan guarantee.
On localization, Colossyan states "120+ supported languages" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30), with metered "auto translations" scaling from 15/mo on Starter to 20/mo on Professional to unlimited on Enterprise (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30). If your content ships in more than a handful of languages a month, map the Starter/Professional caps against your actual publishing calendar before assuming a tier covers it.
NEO vs. NEO2, and collaboration limits
Colossyan's pricing table splits video-minute allowances across two named engines, "NEO" and "NEO2," rather than one pool: Starter gets NEO minutes only; Professional adds a smaller, separately-metered NEO2 allowance on top of a larger NEO allowance; Enterprise gets unlimited NEO minutes and a custom NEO2 allowance (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30). We could not confirm what technically separates the two engines' output — the page names both and meters them separately, but nothing in the text we could extract explains what NEO2 does differently from NEO (higher realism, different rendering pipeline, or something else). If avatar or motion quality is your deciding factor between plans, ask Colossyan sales directly before you pay for NEO2 minutes you may not need.
Seats also scale by plan. Professional's card states editor tiers ("1 editor / 2 editors / 3 editors") at an additional per-member cost of $30/mo each; Enterprise offers a "Custom number of editors" (Colossyan pricing page, checked 2026-08-30). A "3 Review & Collaboration" row also appears on the comparison table, but the exact scope wasn't fully legible in the extracted text — confirm with Colossyan directly if that matters to your decision.
Compliance and security signals
For regulated-training teams, the vendor states it is "SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant, with EU or US data residency on Enterprise plans", and that Enterprise customers can request a full security packet including the SOC 2 report, penetration test summary, and DPA (Colossyan pricing page FAQ, checked 2026-08-30). SAML SSO is described as built into the platform generally, while "Custom SSO/SAML" is listed as Enterprise-only — worth clarifying with sales whether SSO itself is gated or just its custom configuration.
Where each tier actually lands you
Pulling the metered features together, based only on Colossyan's own pricing page (checked 2026-08-30):
- Starter — free, for "individual content creators." 15 custom avatars + 3 voices, 10 interactive videos/mo, 15 auto translations/mo, unlimited course creation. No SCORM export listed.
- Professional — $59/mo billed annually (monthly-billing rate unconfirmed), for "professionals or small teams," marked "Most popular." Adds watermark removal, AI image generation, 5 SCORM exports/mo (Streaming), 20 custom avatars + 5 voices, 20 auto translations/mo, 15 interactive videos/mo, unlimited MP4 downloads, extra editor seats beyond the first at $30/mo each.
- Enterprise — custom quote only ("Let's talk" / "Contact sales"), for "companies scaling training and enablement." Unlimited custom avatars and voices, unlimited SCORM exports in both Streaming and Self-contained formats, unlimited auto translations, custom editor count, branded/custom studio avatars, custom templates, dedicated CSM, custom SSO/SAML.
The pattern across all three tiers is consistent: Colossyan doesn't gate features so much as it gates volume. Interactive video and translation exist on Starter in some form; what changes is how many times a month you can use them, and whether the export format (Streaming-only vs. Streaming-and-Self-contained SCORM) matches how your LMS is actually set up.
Who this fits, and who should look elsewhere
Colossyan fits teams whose training output is recurring and needs to be tracked: L&D teams publishing multiple compliance modules a month, onboarding programs needing SCORM inside a corporate LMS, or global teams translating one course into several languages without re-recording. The metered-by-volume structure scales from a single creator on Starter to an enterprise L&D org — you switch tiers, not tools, as you grow.
It's a weaker fit for one-off marketing or social video rather than trackable training. For that, compare Pictory (blog-to-video) or HeyGen (avatar-led marketing clips) instead. Don't assume Enterprise is required by default, either — but if your compliance program needs offline-playable SCORM packages, confirm that's Enterprise-only with Colossyan directly, since Professional's export is stated as Streaming only.
See Colossyan's listing for the current program details, or our earlier Colossyan vs. Synthesia comparison for a side-by-side against a comparable avatar-video platform. What we couldn't confirm
A few details weren't fully legible in the page content we could extract: the exact per-plan scope of the "300+ stock avatars / 700+ stock voices" library, what technically separates the NEO and NEO2 engines, the meaning of "3 Review & Collaboration," and Professional's standalone month-to-month price (only the annual-billed $59/mo figure was stated on the page). We also found no Enterprise price range anywhere on the site — it's quote-only. Separately, our vendor-fact cache is built from Colossyan's own site, not third-party review aggregators, so this article doesn't cite a G2 or TrustRadius rating; check those directly if an independent user-satisfaction score is part of your evaluation. Verify anything above with Colossyan's sales team if it matters to your decision. We did not test render quality, generation speed, or SCORM compatibility with a specific LMS ourselves; this review is built from what Colossyan states on its own site, not hands-on testing.
